The Morris YORKSHIRE Billhook is a heavier, double-edged billhook most commonly used for hedgelaying.
Like all Morris billhooks, the Morris YORKSHIRE Billhook has cutting bevels that are long, without significant shoulders. Bevels are ground to about 20 degrees.
Traditional pattern, heavy enough to cut through larger stems but still usable single handed.
Total length approx. 640mm (25″).
Double-sided blade, the straight edge is approx. 230mm (9″) long. The other side is hooked.
The socketed blade is fitted with an unvarnished hickory handle.
Down-to-earth tool designed for professional use and long life.

Made entirely in the UK.
In our opinion these hand-made Morris billhooks are far better than most on the market. This is despite the need for grinding and sharpening before use. An uneven edge with some flats are typical straight from the forge.
