Laya Point was established in 2012 by Nicole Hermes and Tom Dennison, and is the creative offshoot of Laya Point Permaculture which works and plays at the Old School, Ulpha, situated in the breath-taking Duddon Valley, part of the Lake District National Park.
There are forests on both sides of the river, bracken-covered fells and rocky outcrops dominate every vista. The valley and local area resonates with life and with these courses, resonates with hand crafted creativity!
The beautifully proportioned old school hall, overlooking the surrounding fells and hills through large expansive windows will be our workshop for the weekend. Ground source heated, it's an airy space with light beaming in from all directions, difficult to imagine a more perfect place to relax and learn a new hand craft.
