Our woodcraft holidays in Norway this August are, we believe, the best so far........

The principal focus is Norwegian Timber Framing, or Stavlaft. Choose either just Part I (5 days) or Part II (5 days) or for a more complete picture of the process of building a frame, choose both parts, (12 days).

In addition to learning about Stavlaft, there'll be the chance to help build a traditional Norwegian skigard fence using riven spruce, make birch charcoal and pine tar and small items such as coat hooks and shrink boxes.

In the evening there is the option to take part in a beaver river safari in open canoes.

This course will appeal to anyone who aspires to building their own log structure one day or who simply wants to get away for an active learning holiday in traditional Norwegian woodcraft with all home cooked meals provided staying in comfortable, spacious tent accomodation.

The course is open to all, with or without previous experience, all in a stunning mountain environment.
