In our own work, which mainly involves green, freshly felled wood, we still have a need to use conventional joiners tools such as bench planes, and with tools such as these there is a vast difference between different quality planes. When you find a nice substantial plane made to a good standard of accuracy, well set up and very, very sharp they are a joy beyond description to use.

When Clico/Clifton stopped trading in 2014 it was great news that all the tooling and knowedge for the planes and metal bodied spokeshaves was bought by our friends at Thomas Flinn, best know for their traditional saws. A safe pair of hands indeed
